A Day Trip to Minority Village

We invited our students to visit the Minority Village last Sunday and had a really good time. Early in the morning, we took direct bus to go to the first place Minority museum. Minority museum is one of the biggest minority museums in China. And our students learned a lot of from this museum. And they saw many exhibitions which they had never seen before.

After that we walked to the Minority Village. The students were amazed at the real minority culture there. They saw different minority villages and minorities. They felt so surprised that they could experience so many dynamic cultures in one place.

We use a lot of games to learn grammar and new words. We have really good teachers, really patient. She helps us a lot. Our class is really nice and we have people from all over the world, different countries. We often discuss topics in Chinese in our class. I live in the dorm of Keats. It is very convenient. One thing I really liked was that I was able to work with my teacher to make an individual plan of study. Another really nice thing is that you live at the school, you feel completely safe.  You always have a group of people who are willing to do things with you on the weekends or in the evenings. They are serving you all the 3 meals a day, the food was excellent.

I think the Chinese learning environment here is great. The teaching methods are also very interactive and fun. What I particularly enjoy here is the fact that my teacher does not stick to the textbook. We spend a lot of time discussing general topics, such as Chinese culture, world news, typical expressions used by local people. We also discuss social and economic topics.
