When you step in the gate of the entrance of the mountain, the Chinese characters 长寿山 will enter your eyes. Power and energy are displayed by the three big Chinese characters. The characters were the last words written before the death of the famous calligrapher Sun Mo who was 108 years old when he died. The long life span of the calligrapher is in accordance to the theme of the scenic spot. When you are in the scenic spot, you will find the Magical Doctors Grotto where there are many statues of the ancient Chinese doctors like Hua Tuo, Zhang Cujing and Li Shizhen. The statues are all designed by the statue masters. The inscriptions on precipices are created by Wu Zuoren.
The collection of ancient stone tablets is the main watching focus in the scenic resort. In the spot, there are different kinds of Chinese character 寿 which means longevity on the surface of the huge stones. The word 寿 is carved in different dynasties and different character styles. The tablet of Eastern Han Dynasty was regarded as the top one in all the tablets. There are some precious pieces of the great calligraphers like Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing and Su Dongpo.
