The second China-Africa Forum closed at Soochow. The closing ceremony was hosted by You Jianhua, Secretary General of China NGO Network for International Exchange. Benjamin Willian Mkapa, ex-president of the Untied Republic of Tanzania, Azeb Mesfin, First Lady of Ethiopia, and Vidad Babiker Omar, First Lady of Sudan addressed on the closing ceremony.

Benjamin Willian Mkapa, ex-president of the Untied Republic of Tanzania said they felt the close cooperation between China and Tanzania at Soochow. The people of the Untied Republic of Tanzania got much help and support from the Chinese people during the process of national liberation. As a developing country, Tanzania needed technological and financial help and support from Chinese to get rid of poverty. The action of the Chinese government into the African market led much hate and jealousy from some other countries. Some developed countries were trying to persuade Africa not to receive help and support from China. They thought Africa should not communicate and cooperate with China. But the ex-president thought in another way. He thought any country had the right and freedom to choose its cooperative partner to develop its country.

During the process of the address, some volunteers in China took part in the forum and helped to do respective work during the meeting. They said the volunteering work helped them to now something about the development of different countries. They felt it an honor to be a volunteer in the forum.

Azeb Mesfin, First Lady of Ethiopia, expressed the idea that Chinese people and African people had a lot in common. At present, China was the biggest cooperative partner to Africa. In Ethiopia, many Chinese workers and products produced in China were seen in Ethiopia. The headquarters of the African Union was a new symbol of the friendly relationship between China and Africa. In reality, there existed great gap between the governmental budget and the need of people. Thus, the significance of the NGO organizations should be expressed. The Nairobi Declaration passed in the first forum initiated the new page of the exchange between China and Africa. China and Africa met same challenge and same problem. She said the African people were hospitable and they hoped more Chinese would go to work and live in Africa.

The representatives present at the meeting thought the forum played an important role in building a friendly relationship between China and Africa. More African people had come to China to learn Chinese. This was a good phenomenon. And they hoped more Chinese would go to Africa to work and study. They hoped the brilliant Chinese people would help the African people get out the difficulty of poverty.
