De docenten van Keats weten hoe ze de studenten moeten lezen en hoe ze studenten kunnen helpen om de Chinese taal gemakkelijk te leren. Ze kennen het niveau van de studenten. Ik leer langzaam, maar ze zijn erin geslaagd zich aan te passen aan mijn leerproces. Ze maakten de les erg leuk, erg spannend. Ik ben blij dat ik niet alleen de cultuur en de taal heb leren kennen, maar ook geweldige vrienden heb kunnen maken, echt ongelooflijk, Chinese vrienden en Europese vrienden, Amerikaanse vrienden, van over de hele wereld.
Ik besloot Chinees te leren in Kunming omdat ik van kleinere steden houd en ik van het klimaat hier hou. We hadden hier vier uur per dag studie en mijn lieve lerares leerde me heel veel en verloor nooit haar geduld met mij. Het was echt een geweldige ervaring om hier te zijn en ik raad Keats school en de leraren hier aan aan iedereen die graag Chinees leert in China.
Vorig jaar ben ik begonnen met Chinees studeren aan de universiteit. De reden dat ik hier ben gekomen, is dat ik me momenteel aan het voorbereiden ben op de HSK 5-test. Ik heb ook gehoord dat dit een van de beste scholen is om Mandarijn te studeren in China. Toen ik hier kwam, realiseerde ik me dat Kunming een best coole stad is om in te wonen en met betrekking tot de lesmethoden van de docenten, denk ik dat ze erg professioneel zijn. En ik denk dat de taalomgeving goed is, dus nu ben ik klaar om de HSK 5 te nemen.
De visumaanvraag was heel eenvoudig, want Keats School helpt ons daarbij enorm. Keats legt een grote nadruk op conversatie, dus we leren veel woordenschat en dagelijkse levensplannen, wat erg handig voor ons is om door de stad te gaan en met Chinese mensen te praten, wat het hele punt is van het leren van Chinees in China.
Voordat ik naar Keats School kwam, had ik geen vertrouwen in mijn Chinese taalvaardigheid. Ik had niet het vertrouwen om Mandarijn Chinees te spreken en met Chinezen te chatten. Echter, na 4 maanden studeren bij Keats, krijg ik nu steeds meer vertrouwen in het spreken van Chinees. Chinees studeren in China aan de Keats School is de beste beslissing die ik ooit heb gemaakt. Er zijn veel spelletjes in de klas en de lesmethoden van mijn leraar zijn ook erg interessant. Mijn ervaring op Keats School heeft mijn kijk op China en Chinezen veranderd.
Ik geniet echt van deze plek omdat we privélessen Mandarijn hebben. Ik volgde het programma van 6 uur, 4 uur ‘s ochtends, 2 uur’ s middags. Hoewel het best veel is, is het onderwijs complementair. Dit is erg handig omdat ik zou kunnen herhalen wat ik eerder heb gedaan en nieuwe dingen kan leren. Mijn 2 leraren zijn fantastisch. We wonen op school, dus het is handig. Ik vind het interessant om mensen van over de hele wereld te ontmoeten.
Een ding dat ik erg leuk vond, was dat ik in staat was om samen met mijn leraar een individueel studieplan te maken. Wat ook heel leuk is, is dat je op school woont, je voelt je volkomen veilig. Je hebt altijd een groep mensen die in de weekenden of ‘s avonds dingen met je willen doen. Ze serveren je alle 3 maaltijden per dag, het eten was uitstekend.
Ik heb 2 semesters bij Keats gestudeerd. Ik raad Keats School ten zeerste aan. Als je erg geïnteresseerd bent in het volgen van een cursus Mandarijn in China, zou ik je aanraden om naar Kunming te komen. Kunming-mensen zijn erg vriendelijk. Het weer in Kunming is geweldig. Dus ik raad je aan om Chinees te studeren bij Keats in Kunming.
