Ik heb echt een geweldige ervaring gehad op school. De docenten zijn heel erg vriendelijk. In mijn klas oefenen we met spreken, luisteren, lezen en schrijven. We spelen spelletjes en andere leuke activiteiten. We hebben uitstapjes door de stad. Het personeel van Keats is fenomenaal. Mijn leraar is een van de beste leraren die ik ooit heb gehad in mijn educatieve ervaring. Ze komt elke dag met een glimlach binnen.
Sinds vorig semester zijn we Chinees gaan studeren bij Keats. Het was de beste keuze die we ooit kunnen maken. Het is echt een goede school. De lessen zijn erg leuk, je leert veel, maar erg interactief, dus je praat veel, wat betekent dat het niet alleen om boeken en schrijven gaat. Kunming is echt een prettige stad om in te wonen, zeker als je het vergelijkt met andere steden in het oosten. Als je van reizen houdt, als je op een leuke manier Chinees wilt studeren, dan heeft Keats het beste Chinese taalprogramma voor je.
Dit is mijn tweede keer dat ik kom. Vorig jaar kwam ik ook voor ongeveer 12 weken. Dit keer kwam ik 13 weken voor een zomerprogramma in China. De reden waarom ik vooral naar deze school wilde komen, was vanwege de een-op-een lessen. Ik kon mijn niveau verhogen en sneller Chinees leren dan in groepslessen. Als ik volgend jaar weer de kans krijg om te komen, zal ik dat zeker doen.
Het was opmerkelijk omdat ik veel mensen heb ontmoet die ik vorig jaar voor het eerst ontmoette, zoals ik, om dit jaar terug te komen naar Keats. Het onderwijs was fantastisch. De docenten bereiden elke les zorgvuldig voor. Ik denk dat deze een-op-een benadering echt een geweldige manier is om je niveau van Chinees snel te verhogen en je zelfvertrouwen en spreekvaardigheid met de taal te vergroten.
Ik ben een afgestudeerde student en werk aan mijn doctoraat aan de Columbia University. We konden ons echt concentreren op spreken, met name in interviewstijl, en we zijn in staat mijn Chinese lees- en schrijfvaardigheid echt te verbeteren, dus als ik terugga naar Columbia, kan ik formele Chinese lessen volgen. Het is een heel goede ervaring geweest en ik hou echt van mijn leraar.
Het is erg handig om vanuit Thailand naar Kunming te komen. Ik hou echt van mijn Chinese les en mijn Chinees is in een paar maanden tijd enorm verbeterd. Er zijn veel voordelen aan het leren van Chinees. Het beste dat ik leuk vind aan Keats is dat het in Kunming is, een stad met de eeuwige lente. Er is zoveel te zien in Kunming en je zult deze stad geweldig vinden nadat je bent gekomen.
Ik ben nu 4 keer naar Keats School geweest om Chinees te leren. De reden om terug te komen naar deze school is zo ongeveer dat de leraren waarmee ik werkte, zeer goede Chinese leraren waren. Ik maak er een vijfjarenplan of zelfs een tienjarenplan van om naar deze school terug te komen. Alle docenten hebben methoden om te kijken naar wat uw vaardigheden zijn. Ze weten op welk niveau u zich bevindt. Ik denk dat het voor iedereen de moeite waard is.
Ik geniet echt van deze plek omdat we privélessen Mandarijn hebben. Ik volgde het programma van 6 uur, 4 uur ‘s ochtends, 2 uur’ s middags. Hoewel het best veel is, is het onderwijs complementair. Dit is erg handig omdat ik zou kunnen herhalen wat ik eerder heb gedaan en nieuwe dingen kan leren. Mijn 2 leraren zijn fantastisch. We wonen op school, dus het is handig. Ik vind het interessant om mensen van over de hele wereld te ontmoeten.
