There is a breaking news at Keats school! One of our current students Alexander Beck won the Champion of a professional tennis competition – Kazan Open on 29 March, 2013.
There were 128 tennis players attended this competition and 120 were Russian and Ukraine. 19 years old Alexander was one of the few Americans. It was very tough competition for him. However, he is a very talented player and after many difficult competitions he got the champion.
For all teachers, Alexander is a hard working student. He is attending competitions, and meanwhile, he is studying Chinese at Keats school. He studied Chinese before in his University. And this spring he came to Keats school to learn Chinese for 20 weeks. After his first period of study, he went to Russia for competition. After he got the Champion, he flew back Kunming to continue his Chinese study.
He said it is very helpful that Keats offers a flexible schedule which allowed him to study at Keats school for several weeks and have a break for competition for several weeks. It helps him to achieve his athlete career goal and learn Chinese better as well. According to help Alexander, Keats school arranges several experienced teachers to teach Chinese for him and arrange the comfortable dormitories for him each leaving-and-backing. We are so glad to hear that he got the Champion. And we hope that he also will get a good result in Chinese.
Alexander will leave Keats for next competition in Italy and will back 4 weeks later. We wish him a successful competition! We are looking forward to hear good news again! Alexander 加油!
