Skolen min er fantastisk. Jeg anbefaler Keats School fordi det er en mer praktisk måte å lære kinesisk på i Kunming.
Jeg synes det kinesiske læringsmiljøet her er flott. Undervisningsmetodene er også veldig interaktive og morsomme. Det jeg liker spesielt godt her er at læreren min ikke holder seg til læreboken. Vi bruker mye tid på å diskutere generelle emner, som kinesisk kultur, verdensnyheter og typiske uttrykk som brukes av lokalbefolkningen. Vi diskuterer også sosiale og økonomiske emner.
Mitt navn er Sarah Fish. Jeg er 81. Jeg kunne svært lite kinesisk da jeg kom. Hvordan skulle jeg overleve to uker med intensivt kinesiskkurs? Jeg må le når jeg tenker på det nå. For en positiv opplevelse dette har vært! Jeg skulle virkelig ønske vi kunne være her litt lenger. Lærerne er ekstremt oppmuntrende, de vurderer først hvor mye noen kan, og starter deretter derfra.
Jeg er en masterstudent som jobber med doktorgraden min ved Columbia University. Vi klarte å fokusere mye på å snakke, spesielt intervjubasert tale, og vi har klart å forbedre mine kinesiske lese- og skriveferdigheter, så når jeg drar tilbake til Columbia, kan jeg ta formelle kinesiskkurs. Det har vært en veldig god opplevelse, og jeg elsker læreren min.
Visumsøknaden var veldig enkel, fordi Keats School hjelper oss mye med det. Keats legger stor vekt på samtaleøvelse, så vi lærer mye vokabular og dagliglivsplaner, noe som er veldig praktisk for oss å kunne reise rundt i byen og snakke med kinesere, og det er hele poenget med å lære kinesisk i Kina.
Jeg hadde virkelig en fantastisk opplevelse på skolen. Lærerne er veldig, veldig hyggelige. I klassen min øver vi på å snakke, lytte, lese og skrive. Vi spiller spill og andre morsomme aktiviteter. Vi har turer rundt i byen. Personalet på Keats er fenomenalt. Læreren min er en av de beste lærerne jeg noen gang har hatt i min skoletid. Hun kommer inn med et smil hver dag.
Jeg liker veldig godt å studere kinesisk i Kunming ved Keats. Lærerne er fantastiske, og klassekameratene mine er fantastiske. Det er en uforglemmelig opplevelse for meg. Jeg fikk også sjansen til å reise til andre steder i Yunnan. Disse stedene er fantastiske, og du må definitivt besøke disse stedene når du studerer kinesisk i Kina ved Keats.
Listening and speaking in the classroom every day has improved my communication skills. After three weeks, my new words and sentences became more and more natural and fluent. Now I am used to thinking in Chinese, and I understand better what other people say, to be able to have real conversations with other people.
