Vi bruker mange spill for å lære grammatikk og nye ord. Vi har veldig flinke lærere, veldig tålmodige. Hun hjelper oss mye. Dette er andre gang jeg kommer. I fjor var jeg også der i omtrent 12 uker. Denne gangen var jeg der i 13 uker med et sommerprogram i Kina. Grunnen til at jeg spesielt ønsker å komme til denne skolen var på grunn av én-til-én-undervisningen. Jeg klarte å heve nivået mitt og lære kinesisk raskere enn i gruppetimer. Hvis jeg får sjansen til å komme igjen neste år, vil jeg absolutt gjøre det.
Skolen min er fantastisk. Jeg anbefaler Keats School fordi det er en mer praktisk måte å lære kinesisk på i Kunming.
Mitt første semester studerte jeg på en annen skole, og presset der var ganske høyt, timene i klasserommet var lange, og leksene var ganske kjedelige. Siden jeg kom til Keats, har jeg oppdaget at jeg har fått mange flere muligheter til å snakke i klasserommet. Alle klassekameratene mine snakker flytende og elsker å snakke og delta i timen. Vi har en flott dynamikk i klasserommet.
Så i løpet av den første uken min på Keats turte jeg ikke å snakke noen kinesiske ord. Jeg fant ut at kinesisknivået mitt raskt hadde blitt bedre siden den gang. Selv om jeg har mange muligheter til å studere i Kina, for eksempel tilbyr noen andre skoler vertsfamilier, fant jeg ut at jeg kunne fordype meg og fokusere fullt ut på å lære kinesisk ved å bo på Keats.
Det har vært bemerkelsesverdig fordi jeg har møtt mange mennesker som jeg møtte første gang i fjor, og som liker at jeg kommer tilbake til Keats i år. Undervisningen har vært fantastisk. Lærerne forbereder hver leksjon nøye. Jeg synes denne en-til-en-tilnærmingen er en fin måte å raskt øke nivået ditt i kinesisk og øke selvtilliten og flyten din i språket.
