Listening and speaking in the classroom every day has improved my communication skills. After three weeks, my new words and sentences became more and more natural and fluent. Now I am used to thinking in Chinese, and I understand better what other people say, to be able to have real conversations with other people.
Å lytte og snakke i klasserommet hver dag har forbedret kommunikasjonsferdighetene mine. Etter tre uker ble de nye ordene og setningene mine mer og mer naturlige og flytende. Nå er jeg vant til å tenke på kinesisk, og jeg forstår bedre hva andre sier, slik at jeg kan ha ekte samtaler med andre mennesker.
Stedet er veldig kult. Jeg er sammen med en flott gruppe mennesker i klassen min, så det er veldig hyggelig å komme på timene. Det er gøy, vi har mange diskusjoner, spill og aktiviteter. Lærerne våre er også veldig flinke og veldig støttende. Å lære kinesisk er skremmende i starten fordi du har så mange spørsmål. Men jeg vil anbefale å komme til Keats fordi atmosfæren for læring er flott. Det er veldig avslappende. Jeg vil anbefale skolen.
Dette er andre gang jeg kommer. I fjor var jeg også der i omtrent 12 uker. Denne gangen var jeg der i 13 uker med et sommerprogram i Kina. Grunnen til at jeg spesielt ønsker å komme til denne skolen var på grunn av én-til-én-undervisningen. Jeg klarte å heve nivået mitt og lære kinesisk raskere enn i gruppetimer. Hvis jeg får sjansen til å komme igjen neste år, vil jeg absolutt gjøre det.
Jeg har hatt det kjempefint her. Jeg har studert mye med læreren min, som var fantastisk. Keats School prøvde veldig hardt å finne gode lærere til elevene sine, og personligheten deres fungerer veldig godt sammen. Jeg liker å studere kinesisk på Keats, og jeg kommer definitivt tilbake.
Vi bruker mange spill for å lære grammatikk og nye ord. Vi har veldig flinke lærere, veldig tålmodige. Hun hjelper oss mye. Klassen vår er veldig hyggelig, og vi har folk fra hele verden, forskjellige land. Vi diskuterer ofte emner på kinesisk i klassen vår. Jeg bor i sovesalen til Keats. Det er veldig praktisk. Jeg trenger ikke å bruke tid på å reise. Du kan bare fokusere på å lære kinesisk.
En ting jeg virkelig likte var at jeg kunne samarbeide med læreren min for å lage en individuell studieplan. En annen veldig fin ting er at du bor på skolen, du føler deg helt trygg. Du har alltid en gruppe mennesker som er villige til å gjøre ting sammen med deg i helgene eller om kveldene. De serverer deg alle tre måltidene om dagen, og maten var utmerket.
Jeg liker meg veldig godt på dette stedet fordi vi har privatundervisning i mandarin. Jeg tok 6-timersprogrammet, 4 timer om morgenen og 2 timer om ettermiddagen. Selv om det er ganske mye, er undervisningen gratis. Dette er veldig nyttig fordi jeg kan repetere det jeg har gjort før og lære nye ting. De to lærerne mine er fantastiske. Vi bor på skolen, så det er praktisk. Det er interessant for meg å møte mennesker fra hele verden.
