Od prejšnjega semestra smo začeli študirati kitajščino na Keatsu. To je bila najboljša odločitev, kar smo jih kdajkoli sprejeli. Je res dobra šola. Pouk je zelo zabaven, veliko se naučiš, a je zelo interaktiven, zato se veliko pogovarjaš, kar pomeni, da ne gre samo za knjige in pisanje. Kunming je res prijetno mesto za življenje, še posebej, če ga primerjamo z drugimi mesti na vzhodu. Če radi potujete, če se radi učite kitajščine na zabaven način, ima Keats najboljši program kitajskega jezika za vas.
Ni pomembno, kakšno raven kitajščine imate, lahko začnete celo od ničelne ravni. Vaš učitelj bo pripravil lekcije glede na vaše zahteve. Prvi semester sem študiral na drugi šoli in tam je bil pritisk precej velik, ure v razredu so bile dolge, domače naloge pa precej dolgočasne. Odkar sem prišel na Keats, sem ugotovil, da imam veliko več priložnosti za govorjenje v razredu. Vsi moji sošolci tekoče govorijo in radi govorijo ter sodelujejo v razredu. Imamo odlično dinamiko v razredu.
Vsakodnevno poslušanje in govorjenje v razredu je izboljšalo moje komunikacijske sposobnosti. Po treh tednih so moje nove besede in stavki postajali vedno bolj naravni in tekoči. Zdaj sem navajen razmišljati v kitajščini in bolje razumem, kaj govorijo drugi ljudje, da se lahko z njimi resnično pogovarjam.
V intenzivnem individualnem tečaju kitajščine lahko izberete metodo učenja, ki vam je všeč. Tečaj kitajščine v majhnih skupinah na Kitajskem v Keatsu poteka po učbeniku HSK. Učitelji pogosto zbirajo povratne informacije od učencev, poslušajo naše zahteve in mnenja. Občutek imam, da je moja ustna raven boljša kot prej.
Res sem užival v tečaju kitajščine na Kitajskem v Keatsu in v srečanju z učitelji tukaj in učenci. V razredu se zelo zabavamo. To je res odlična šola za učenje z dobrimi metodami poučevanja in res dobrim učbenikom, primeri in igrami ter vsem.
Moje ime je Sarah Fish. Stara sem 81 let. Ko sem prispela, sem znala zelo malo kitajščine. Kako naj bi preživela dva tedna intenzivnega tečaja kitajščine? Zdaj se moram smejati, ko pomislim na to. Kakšna pozitivna izkušnja je bila to! Resnično si želim, da bi lahko bili tukaj še malo dlje. Učitelji so izjemno spodbudni, najprej ocenijo, koliko nekdo zna, in nato začnejo od tam naprej.
