Vim para Kunming porque acho que o ambiente aqui é melhor e ouvi dizer que a Escola Keats é excelente. Gosto das turmas pequenas de chinês porque os meus colegas estudam bastante e os nossos professores são muito bons. Gosto da metodologia de ensino da Keats porque gosto das atividades que oferece. Acho que Yunnan é uma província chinesa particularmente bonita.
Gosto muito deste lugar porque temos aulas particulares de mandarim. Fiz o programa de 6 horas, 4 horas de manhã e 2 à tarde. Apesar de ser bastante intenso, o ensino é gratuito. Isto é muito útil porque posso rever o que já vi e aprender coisas novas. Os meus dois professores são fantásticos. Vivemos na escola, por isso é muito conveniente. É interessante para mim conhecer pessoas de todo o mundo.
É muito conveniente vir da Tailândia para Kunming. Gostei muito das minhas aulas de chinês e o meu chinês melhorou bastante em poucos meses. Aprender chinês traz muitos benefícios. O que mais gosto na Keats é que fica em Kunming, uma cidade com uma primavera eterna. Há muito para ver em Kunming e vai adorar esta cidade depois de a conhecer.
Acho o ambiente de aprendizagem de chinês aqui ótimo. Os métodos de ensino são também muito interativos e divertidos. O que me agrada particularmente aqui é o facto de o meu professor não se prender ao livro didático. Passámos bastante tempo a discutir tópicos gerais, como a cultura chinesa, as notícias do mundo e as expressões típicas utilizadas pelos habitantes locais. Também discutimos temas sociais e económicos.
O meu nome é Sarah Fish. Tenho 81 anos. Eu sabia muito pouco chinês quando cheguei. Como sobreviveria a duas semanas de curso intensivo de chinês? Tenho de me rir quando penso nisso agora. Que experiência positiva tem sido! Gostava muito que pudéssemos ficar aqui mais um pouco. Os professores são extremamente encorajadores, avaliando primeiro o quanto a pessoa sabe e, a partir daí, começam a estudar.
Sou estudante de pós-graduação a frequentar o doutoramento na Universidade de Columbia. Conseguimos focar-nos bastante na conversação, especialmente nas entrevistas, e melhorámos muito as minhas capacidades de leitura e escrita em chinês. Assim, quando regressar a Columbia, poderei ter aulas formais de chinês. Tem sido uma experiência muito boa e adoro a minha professora.
Uma coisa que gostei muito foi poder trabalhar com o meu professor para criar um plano de estudos individual. Outra coisa muito boa é que vive na escola, sente-se completamente seguro. Tem sempre um grupo de pessoas dispostas a fazer atividades consigo aos fins de semana ou à noite. Servem as três refeições por dia, e a comida era excelente.
Estudei na Keats durante dois semestres e recomendo vivamente a Escola Keats. Se está muito interessado em fazer um curso de mandarim na China, sugiro que venha a Kunming. As pessoas de Kunming são muito simpáticas e o clima é ótimo. Por isso, recomendo que estude chinês na Keats em Kunming.
