O meu nome é Sarah Fish. Tenho 81 anos. Eu sabia muito pouco chinês quando cheguei. Como sobreviveria a duas semanas de curso intensivo de chinês? Tenho de me rir quando penso nisso agora. Que experiência positiva tem sido! Gostava muito que pudéssemos ficar aqui mais um pouco. Os professores são extremamente encorajadores, avaliando primeiro o quanto a pessoa sabe e, a partir daí, começam a estudar.
O processo de pedido de visto foi muito simples, pois a Keats School ajuda-nos bastante com isso. A Keats dá muita ênfase à prática de conversação, por isso aprendemos muito vocabulário e situações do dia-a-dia, o que é muito conveniente para nos deslocarmos pela cidade e conversarmos com chineses, que é o principal objetivo de aprender chinês na China.
No meu primeiro semestre noutra escola, a pressão era muito grande, as aulas eram longas e os trabalhos de casa eram bastante aborrecidos. Desde que entrei na Keats, tenho tido muito mais oportunidades de falar em sala de aula. Os meus colegas são todos fluentes e adoram falar e participar nas aulas. Temos uma ótima dinâmica na sala de aula.
Esta é a minha segunda vez aqui. No ano passado, também fiquei cerca de 12 semanas. Desta vez, vim para um programa de verão de 13 semanas na China. A razão pela qual eu queria tanto vir para esta escola era por causa das aulas individuais. Consegui aumentar o meu nível e aprender chinês mais rapidamente do que nas aulas de grupo. Se tiver oportunidade de vir novamente no próximo ano, irei certamente.
Kunming é uma cidade fantástica. O clima aqui é ótimo. A escola é excelente. Os instrutores são muito prestáveis e simpáticos. Recomendo vivamente que qualquer pessoa que esteja à procura de uma escola de chinês na China venha estudar aqui. Kunming e a escola Keats são muito melhores do que qualquer outro lugar.
Na Keats, tenho muitas oportunidades para praticar o que aprendi. Gosto muito desta escola porque posso aprender chinês individualmente, por isso acho que este é o melhor programa de imersão na China e o meu professor é o melhor. Sinto que sem ele, o meu chinês certamente não teria melhorado tanto. Estou muito contente porque, na Keats, o meu chinês melhorou significativamente.
Tenho dois professores e estudo 4 horas por dia. Os meus professores são Dong Laoshi e Jin Laoshi. Ambos são ótimos e tornaram a experiência muito agradável. Estão sempre dispostos a ajudar, por isso, se tiver alguma dúvida, os professores estão sempre disponíveis, seja sobre vistos ou sobre como se deslocar pela cidade. Todos querem falar consigo.
Acho o ambiente de aprendizagem de chinês aqui ótimo. Os métodos de ensino são também muito interativos e divertidos. O que me agrada particularmente aqui é o facto de o meu professor não se prender ao livro didático. Passámos bastante tempo a discutir tópicos gerais, como a cultura chinesa, as notícias do mundo e as expressões típicas utilizadas pelos habitantes locais. Também discutimos temas sociais e económicos.
