Golden Temple is located in the east of Kunming. The Golden Temple was first built in the 30th year of Emperor Wanli’s rule (1602) in the Ming Dynasty. It is a great way to learn about Chinese history, especially what it was like in Kunming in Ming Dynasty.

In order to help students learn Chinese and create an immersion environment, we will discuss about this movie in Chinese after the movie. Anyone is welcome to join us no matter how much Chinese you know because the teacher will lead the discussion and we will help you practice the sentence patterns you have learned in class.

For this weekend’s Chinese cultural activity, Keats School will hold a lecture about Chinese Lantern Festival. Anyone interested in participating is welcome to the school. This is a good chance to get to know Chinese festival culture. The lecturer will be one of Keats School’s teachers. If you are interested in getting to know about learning Chinese in China at Keats, you are also welcome to come and talk to Keats staff after the lecture.

Keats School will hold a series of FREE trial Chinese classes (Pinyin, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced) from Feb 18 to Feb 22 and from Feb 25 to Mar 1, 2013. Students who are interested in taking small Chinese classes next semester at Keats School are all welcome to attend. All the lessons are FREE.Refreshments will be served during the activities and free gifts will be given at the end of the activities. The format of the free trial Chinese class will be the same as the real small group Chinese class.
If you have never studied Chinese or if you think your Pinyin pronouciation is not as standard as you expect, we recommend you take the free Chinese Pinyin lesson from 8:30am to 10:30am. You will master all the Pinyin in 1 week. The free Pinyin classes will be held two times in a roll.
When: Feb 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, and Mar 1 (2 weeks in total):
- Free Chinese Pinyin Lesson: 8:30am to 10:30am.
- Free Trial Chinese Class (Elementary): 10:30am to 12:30pm
