Học kỳ đầu tiên tôi học ở trường khác, áp lực khá cao, giờ học trên lớp dài và bài tập về nhà khá nhàm chán. Từ khi đến Keats, tôi thấy mình có nhiều cơ hội hơn để phát biểu trong lớp. Các bạn cùng lớp của tôi đều nói tiếng Anh trôi chảy và rất thích nói chuyện cũng như tham gia vào các hoạt động trên lớp. Lớp học của chúng tôi rất sôi nổi.
Tôi có 2 giáo viên, và tôi học 4 tiếng mỗi ngày. Tôi học với thầy Dong và thầy Jin. Cả hai thầy đều rất giỏi. Họ đã làm cho trải nghiệm học tập của tôi rất tuyệt vời. Họ luôn sẵn lòng giúp đỡ bạn bất cứ khi nào, vì vậy nếu bạn có bất kỳ câu hỏi nào ở đây, các giáo viên luôn sẵn sàng giúp bạn, cho dù đó là về visa hay về việc đi lại trong thành phố. Ai cũng muốn nói chuyện với bạn.
Côn Minh là một thành phố tuyệt vời. Thời tiết ở đây rất tuyệt. Trường học xuất sắc. Các giảng viên rất tận tâm và thân thiện. Tôi nhiệt liệt khuyên bất cứ ai đang tìm kiếm một trường dạy tiếng Trung ở Trung Quốc nên đến đây học. Côn Minh và trường Keats tốt hơn nhiều so với bất kỳ nơi nào khác.
Vì vậy, trong tuần đầu tiên ở Keats, tôi không dám nói bất kỳ từ tiếng Trung nào. Tôi nhận ra rằng trình độ tiếng Trung của mình đã cải thiện rất nhanh kể từ đó. Mặc dù tôi có nhiều lựa chọn để học tập tại Trung Quốc, ví dụ như một số trường khác có chương trình ở trọ cùng gia đình bản xứ, nhưng tôi thấy rằng tôi có thể hòa mình vào môi trường học tập và tập trung hoàn toàn vào việc học tiếng Trung bằng cách ở lại Keats.
Họ thực sự quan tâm đến sở thích, thắc mắc và yêu cầu của chúng tôi. Sau đó, họ điều chỉnh nội dung chương trình học tiếng Trung theo từng tình huống. Mỗi giáo viên kèm một học sinh, vì vậy rất dễ tập trung trong suốt 6 giờ học tiếng Quan thoại chuyên sâu. Việc học tập, sinh hoạt và ăn uống trong cùng một tòa nhà rất thuận tiện.
Ở trường Keats, tôi có rất nhiều cơ hội để thực hành những gì mình đã học. Tôi thực sự thích trường này vì tôi có thể học tiếng Trung theo hình thức một kèm một, vì vậy tôi nghĩ đây là chương trình học tập chuyên sâu tốt nhất ở Trung Quốc và giáo viên của tôi là giáo viên giỏi nhất. Tôi cảm thấy rằng nếu không có giáo viên của mình, chắc chắn trình độ tiếng Trung của tôi sẽ không tiến bộ nhiều như vậy.
Tôi là nghiên cứu sinh đang theo học tiến sĩ tại Đại học Columbia. Chúng tôi đã có thể tập trung vào kỹ năng nói, đặc biệt là kỹ năng nói trong phỏng vấn, và chúng tôi đã giúp tôi nâng cao đáng kể kỹ năng đọc và viết tiếng Trung, để khi quay lại Columbia, tôi có thể tham gia các lớp học tiếng Trung chính quy. Đó là một trải nghiệm thực sự tốt và tôi rất yêu quý giáo viên của mình.
Tôi thực sự rất thích khóa học tiếng Trung tại trường Keats ở Trung Quốc và việc được gặp gỡ các thầy cô giáo cũng như các bạn học sinh ở đây. Chúng tôi đã có những giờ học rất vui vẻ. Đây thực sự là một ngôi trường tuyệt vời để học tập với phương pháp giảng dạy tốt, sách giáo khoa chất lượng, nhiều ví dụ minh họa và trò chơi, và mọi thứ đều rất đầy đủ.
