Min första termin gick jag på en annan skola, och pressen där var ganska hög, klassrumstiden var lång och läxorna ganska tråkiga. Sedan jag kom till Keats har jag upptäckt att jag har fått många fler möjligheter att tala i klassrummet. Mina klasskamrater talar flytande och älskar att tala och delta i lektionerna. Vi har en fantastisk dynamik i klassrummet.
Innan jag började på Keats School hade jag inget förtroende för mina kinesiska kunskaper. Jag hade inte tillräckligt med självförtroende för att tala mandarin och prata med kineser. Men efter fyra månaders studier på Keats blir jag mer och mer säker på att tala kinesiska nu. Att studera kinesiska i Kina på Keats School har varit det bästa beslutet jag någonsin tagit. Det finns många spel i klassen, och min lärares undervisningsmetoder är också mycket intressanta. Min erfarenhet på Keats School har förändrat min syn på Kina och det kinesiska folket.
Jag hade verkligen en fantastisk upplevelse på skolan. Lärarna är väldigt, väldigt vänliga. I min klass övar vi på att tala, lyssna, läsa och skriva. Vi spelar spel och andra roliga aktiviteter. Vi har utflykter runt i stan. Personalen på Keats är fenomenal. Min lärare är en av de bästa lärarna jag någonsin haft under min utbildning. Hon kommer in med ett leende varje dag.
Jag har gått på Keats School för att lära mig kinesiska fyra gånger nu. Anledningen till att jag återvände till den här skolan är i stort sett att lärarna jag arbetade med var väldigt bra kinesisklärare. Jag har en 5-årsplan eller till och med en 10-årsplan för att komma tillbaka till den här skolan. Alla lärare har metoder för att se vilka färdigheter man har. De är medvetna om vilken nivå man befinner sig på. Jag tror att det är värt det för alla.
Jag tycker verkligen om att komma hit eftersom det är som ett slags hem för mig. Det är en fantastisk miljö att lära sig mandarin i Kina och träffa fantastiska människor från hela världen. Alla här är extremt vänliga. Kunming har ett riktigt trevligt klimat. Det är en mycket bra blandning av den moderna staden och även mycket historisk kinesisk kultur. Har förmodligen den renaste luften i Kina och möjligen det renaste vattnet också. Jag inbjuder dig att komma och studera kinesiska i Kunming.
Vi använder många spel för att lära oss grammatik och nya ord. Vi har riktigt bra lärare, väldigt tålmodiga. Hon hjälper oss mycket. Vår klass är riktigt trevlig och vi har människor från hela världen, olika länder. Vi diskuterar ofta ämnen på kinesiska i vår klass. Jag bor i Keats studenthem. Det är väldigt bekvämt. Jag behöver inte lägga tid på att resa. Man kan bara fokusera på att lära sig kinesiska.
Jag har haft en fantastisk tid på Keats. Jag är förvånad över hur mycket jag har lärt mig under de senaste tre veckorna och jag kommer att bli väldigt ledsen över att åka. Vi planerar redan vår nästa resa tillbaka eftersom vi hade en så fantastisk tid här. De skräddarsyr verkligen den kinesiska språkkursen efter dig och dina individuella behov.
Platsen är väldigt cool. Jag är med en fantastisk grupp människor i min klass, så det är väldigt trevligt att komma till lektionerna. Det är roligt, vi har många diskussioner, spel och aktiviteter. Våra lärare är också väldigt bra och väldigt stödjande. Att lära sig kinesiska är skrämmande i början eftersom man har så många frågor. Men jag skulle rekommendera att komma till Keats eftersom atmosfären för lärande är fantastisk. Det är väldigt avkopplande. Jag skulle rekommendera skolan.
