Miejsce jest bardzo fajne. Mam świetną grupę w klasie, więc chodzenie na zajęcia to czysta przyjemność. Jest fajnie, dużo rozmawiamy, gramy i bawimy się. Nasi nauczyciele są również bardzo dobrzy i bardzo pomocni. Nauka chińskiego może być na początku onieśmielająca, bo ma się mnóstwo pytań. Nauczyciele w Keats wiedzą, jak czytać uczniów i jak pomóc im w łatwej nauce języka chińskiego. Znają poziom uczniów. Uczę się powoli, ale udało im się dostosować do mojego poziomu nauczania. Sprawili, że zajęcia były bardzo przyjemne i ekscytujące. Cieszę się, że nie tylko poznałam kulturę i język, ale także poznałam wspaniałych przyjaciół, naprawdę niesamowitych – Chińczyków, Europejczyków, Amerykanów z całego świata.
W pierwszym semestrze studiowałem w innej szkole, gdzie presja była dość duża, godziny lekcyjne długie, a prace domowe dość żmudne. Odkąd zacząłem uczęszczać do Keatsa, odkryłem, że mam o wiele więcej okazji do mówienia na zajęciach. Wszyscy moi koledzy z klasy mówią płynnie i uwielbiają mówić i uczestniczyć w zajęciach. Mamy świetną dynamikę w klasie.
Uważam, że panująca tu atmosfera nauki języka chińskiego jest wspaniała. Metody nauczania są bardzo interaktywne i przyjemne. Szczególnie podoba mi się to, że mój nauczyciel nie trzyma się ściśle podręcznika. Spędzamy dużo czasu na dyskusjach na tematy ogólne, takie jak kultura chińska, wiadomości ze świata, typowe wyrażenia używane przez miejscową ludność. Rozmawiamy również o kwestiach społecznych i ekonomicznych.
Jestem studentką studiów podyplomowych i pracuję nad doktoratem na Uniwersytecie Columbia. Mogliśmy naprawdę skupić się na mówieniu, zwłaszcza w stylu wywiadów, i znacznie poprawić moje umiejętności czytania i pisania po chińsku, więc po powrocie na Uniwersytet Columbia będę mogła uczęszczać na formalne kursy chińskiego. To było naprawdę dobre doświadczenie i naprawdę kocham mojego nauczyciela.
Bardzo podobał mi się kurs języka chińskiego w Chinach w Keats i spotkania z nauczycielami i uczniami. Świetnie się bawimy na zajęciach. To naprawdę świetna szkoła do nauki, z dobrymi metodami nauczania i naprawdę dobrym podręcznikiem, przykładami, grami i wszystkim innym.
Jedną z rzeczy, które naprawdę mi się podobały, była możliwość współpracy z nauczycielem przy tworzeniu indywidualnego planu nauki. Kolejną zaletą jest to, że mieszka się w szkole, więc czuje się całkowicie bezpiecznie. Zawsze jest grupa osób chętnych do wspólnego spędzania czasu w weekendy lub wieczorami. Serwują wszystkie 3 posiłki dziennie, jedzenie było wyśmienite.
