The spring semester for the small group Chinese class officially started last Monday, March 3rd. We sent out emails to all the students about the exact class schedule and what the students need to prepare for the class. All the students came to attend the classes on time last Monday. The teachers helped each student find his/her classroom and answered the questions about the class arrangement. During the first class, the teachers introduced themselves and the course syllabus. The first class was also a great opportunity to know other classmates and make friends with other students. In order to put everyone in class on the similar level, the teachers used various teaching techniques and games to test the student levels, to make the first class fun and interesting. Many students showed their great interest in the Chinese class.
Some students were not sure whether the class would fit their levels. However, at Keats, we offer more opportunities for our students to choose a class that suits their levels. You can meet your academic advisor who will help you select one class that suits your level after you arrive in Kunming. Furthermore, during the first week of semester, students are free to switch classes to finally find a class that is suitable for their levels. This is why Keats is different from other schools and has so many returning students. You can first sit in the elementary level, and if you feel it is too easy, you can move to the intermediate level. If you think it is too difficult, you can move to the beginner level. Studying Chinese at Keats can be as flexible as you can imagine.
Therefore, all Keats teachers are very experienced in assessing the students’ levels and give you the best suggestion. We have many new students registering for this semester and the teachers have helped them select the most suitable classes.
Both the students and the teachers had a great time during the first class. We believe that all of our students will achieve a satisfied learning result with the efforts from Keats teachers. At the same time, we welcome any inquiries and questions about the small group class. You can call us at 400-871-0109.
