En voi sanoin kuvailla, kuinka paljon pidin siitä. Opettajissa ja opetusmenetelmässä pidin erityisesti joustavuudesta. Toinen asia, josta pidin opetuksessa, oli klassisen oppikirjaoppimisen ja ulkona olemisen yhdistelmä. Rakastin sitä! Tykkään tutustua muihin oppilaisiin. Kaikilla oli sama tavoite, ja se paransi heidän kiinan kielen taitoaan. Kunming on iso kaupunki, mutta täällä on erittäin turvallista asua. Nimeni on Sarah Fish. Olen 81-vuotias. Osasin hyvin vähän kiinaa saapuessani. Miten selviäisin kahdesta viikosta intensiivistä kiinan kielen kurssista? Minun on pakko nauraa, kun ajattelen sitä nyt. Mikä positiivinen kokemus tämä on ollut! Toivon todella, että voisimme olla täällä vähän pidempään. Opettajat ovat erittäin kannustavia, he arvioivat ensin, kuinka paljon joku tietää, ja aloittavat sitten siitä.
Kunmingiin on erittäin kätevää tulla Thaimaasta. Pidän todella paljon kiinan kielen tunneistani ja kiinan kielen taitoni parani paljon muutamassa kuukaudessa. Kiinan kielen oppimisessa on monia etuja. Parasta Keatsissa on se, että se sijaitsee Kunmingissa, ikuisen kevään kaupungissa. Kunmingissa on niin paljon nähtävää, ja tulet rakastamaan tätä kaupunkia tultuasi sinne.
Kunming on upea kaupunki. Sää täällä on mahtava. Koulu on erinomainen. Opettajat ovat erittäin avuliaita ja ystävällisiä. Suosittelen lämpimästi kaikille, jotka etsivät kiinan kielen koulua Kiinassa, tulemaan tänne opiskelemaan. Kunming ja Keatsin koulu ovat paljon parempia kuin mikään muu paikka.
Viisumihakemus oli todella suoraviivainen, koska Keats School auttaa meitä siinä paljon. Keatsissa painotetaan paljon keskusteluharjoituksia, joten opimme paljon sanastoa ja päivittäisen elämän suunnitelmia, mikä on erittäin kätevää, jotta voimme kiertää kaupunkia ja puhua kiinalaisten kanssa – se on koko kiinan kielen oppimisen idea Kiinassa.
Päätin oppia kiinaa Kunmingissa, koska pidän pienemmistä kaupungeista ja pidän täällä vallitsevasta ilmastosta. Meillä oli neljä tuntia opiskelua päivässä täällä ja rakas opettajani opetti minulle paljon eikä koskaan menettänyt kärsivällisyyttään kanssani. Oli todella upea kokemus olla täällä ja suosittelen Keats-koulua ja opettajia täällä kaikille, jotka haluavat oppia kiinaa Kiinassa.
Päivittäinen kuunteleminen ja puhuminen luokkahuoneessa on parantanut kommunikointitaitojani. Kolmen viikon kuluttua uudet sanani ja lauseeni tulivat yhä luonnollisemmiksi ja sujuvammiksi. Nyt olen tottunut ajattelemaan kiinaksi ja ymmärrän paremmin, mitä muut ihmiset sanovat, jotta voin käydä oikeita keskusteluja muiden ihmisten kanssa.
