I mit første semester gik jeg på en anden skole, og presset der var ret højt, timerne i klasseværelset var lange, og lektierne var ret kedelige. Siden jeg kom til Keats, har jeg opdaget, at jeg har mange flere muligheder for at tale i klasseværelset. Mine klassekammerater taler alle flydende og elsker at tale og deltage i undervisningen. Vi har en fantastisk dynamik i klasseværelset.
Jeg kommer til Kunming, fordi jeg synes, miljøet i Kunming er bedre, og jeg har hørt, at Keats School er bedre. Jeg kan godt lide kinesiskundervisningen i små grupper, fordi mine klassekammerater studerer hårdt, og vores lærere er meget dygtige. Jeg kan godt lide undervisningsmetoden på Keats, fordi jeg kan lide aktiviteterne på Keats. Jeg synes, Yunnan er en særlig smuk kinesisk provins.
Jeg har virkelig nydt kinesiskkurset i Kina på Keats og at møde lærerne her og eleverne. Vi har det rigtig sjovt i timerne. Det er en rigtig god skole at lære på med gode undervisningsmetoder og en rigtig god lærebog, eksempler og spil og alt muligt.
Kunming er et fantastisk sted at lære kinesisk i Kina, fordi der ikke er mange kinesere på gaden, der taler engelsk. Keats har været en fantastisk skole for mig, og mange andre udlændinge, der har studeret i Kina, anbefalede det til mig. Jeg synes, de er helt okay. Studiemetoden her er virkelig struktureret. De gør det virkelig nemt at lære kinesisk. Der er også mange kulturelle og naturlige steder at besøge.
Mit navn er Sarah Fish. Jeg er 81. Jeg kendte meget lidt kinesisk, da jeg ankom. Hvordan skulle jeg overleve 2 ugers intensivt kinesiskkursus? Jeg må grine, når jeg tænker på det nu. Sikke en positiv oplevelse det har været! Jeg ville virkelig ønske, vi kunne være her lidt længere. Lærerne er ekstremt opmuntrende, de vurderer først, hvor meget man ved, og starter derefter derfra.
Det bedste ved skolen er instruktørernes tålmodighed og tiden til at fokusere på det grundlæggende som udtale. Jeg synes, det er meget nemt at springe dem over og gå over til ordforrådet. Men ved at lære udtalen føler jeg, at det hjalp mig med at få en bedre forståelse af sproget.
Jeg har to lærere, og jeg arbejder fire timer om dagen. Så jeg har Dong Laoshi og Jin Laoshi. De er begge rigtig gode. De gjorde oplevelsen meget behagelig for mig.
