Så i løbet af min første uge på Keats turde jeg ikke tale nogen kinesiske ord. Jeg fandt ud af, at mit kinesiske niveau hurtigt var blevet bedre siden da. Selvom jeg har mange muligheder for at studere i Kina, for eksempel tilbyder nogle andre skoler homestay, opdagede jeg, at jeg kunne fordybe mig og fuldt ud fokusere på at lære kinesisk ved at bo på Keats.
I det intensive en-til-en kinesiskkursus kan du vælge den læringsmetode, du foretrækker. Kinesiskundervisningen i små grupper i Kina på Keats følger HSK-lærebogen. Lærerne indsamler ofte feedback fra eleverne, og lærerne lytter til vores krav og meninger. Jeg synes, at mit mundtlige niveau er bedre end før.
Min skole er fantastisk. Jeg anbefaler Keats School, fordi det er en mere bekvem måde at lære kinesisk på i Kunming.

Jeg har lært en masse ordforråd i løbet af min tid her. Jeg vil virkelig anbefale at komme og lære mandarin-kinesisk på Keats School.
Jeg kommer til Kunming, fordi jeg synes, miljøet i Kunming er bedre, og jeg har hørt, at Keats School er bedre. Jeg kan godt lide kinesiskundervisningen i små grupper, fordi mine klassekammerater studerer hårdt, og vores lærere er meget dygtige. Jeg kan godt lide undervisningsmetoden på Keats, fordi jeg kan lide aktiviteterne på Keats. Jeg synes, Yunnan er en særlig smuk kinesisk provins.
At lytte og tale i klasseværelset hver dag har forbedret mine kommunikationsevner. Efter tre uger blev mine nye ord og sætninger mere og mere naturlige og flydende. Nu er jeg vant til at tænke på kinesisk, og jeg forstår bedre, hvad andre mennesker siger, for at kunne have rigtige samtaler med andre mennesker.
Jeg nyder virkelig dette sted, fordi vi har privatundervisning i mandarin. Jeg tog 6-timersprogrammet, 4 timer om formiddagen og 2 om eftermiddagen. Selvom det er ret meget, er undervisningen gratis. Det er meget nyttigt, fordi jeg kan repetere, hvad jeg har gjort før, og lære nye ting. Mine 2 lærere er fantastiske. Vi bor på skolen, så det er praktisk. Det er interessant for mig at møde mennesker fra hele verden.
Mit navn er Sarah Fish. Jeg er 81. Jeg kendte meget lidt kinesisk, da jeg ankom. Hvordan skulle jeg overleve 2 ugers intensivt kinesiskkursus? Jeg må grine, når jeg tænker på det nu. Sikke en positiv oplevelse det har været! Jeg ville virkelig ønske, vi kunne være her lidt længere. Lærerne er ekstremt opmuntrende, de vurderer først, hvor meget man ved, og starter derefter derfra.
