Od doby, co jsem přišel na Keats, jsem zjistil, že mám mnohem více příležitostí mluvit ve třídě. Všichni moji spolužáci mluví plynně a rádi mluví a zapojují se do výuky. Máme skvělou dynamiku ve třídě.
Mám dva učitele a věnuji se 4 hodiny denně. Takže mám Dong Laoshiho a Jin Laoshiho. Oba jsou velmi dobří. Díky nim jsem tu měl moc hezký zážitek. Jsou ochotni vám kdykoli pomoci, takže pokud máte někdy otázku, učitelé jsou tu vždy, aby vám pomohli, ať už se jedná o víza, ať už o dopravu po městě. Každý si s vámi chce povídat.
Rozhodla jsem se učit čínsky v Kunmingu, protože mám ráda menší města a líbí se mi zdejší klima. Studovali jsme zde čtyři hodiny denně a moje drahá učitelka mě toho hodně naučila a nikdy se mnou neztratila trpělivost. Byl to opravdu úžasný zážitek a všem, kteří se rádi učí čínsky v Číně, doporučuji školu Keats a místní učitele.
Myslím, že prostředí pro výuku čínštiny je zde skvělé. Výukové metody jsou také velmi interaktivní a zábavné. Co se mi zde obzvlášť líbí, je to, že se můj učitel nedrží učebnice. Trávíme spoustu času diskusí o obecných tématech, jako je čínská kultura, světové zprávy, typické výrazy používané místními lidmi. Diskutujeme také o sociálních a ekonomických tématech.
Od minulého semestru jsme začali studovat čínštinu na Keats. Byla to nejlepší volba, jakou jsme kdy mohli udělat. Je to opravdu dobrá škola. Hodiny jsou velmi zábavné, hodně se toho naučíte, ale jsou velmi interaktivní, takže si hodně povídáte, což znamená, že to nejsou jen knihy a psaní. Kunming je opravdu příjemné město k životu, zvláště ve srovnání s jinými městy na východě. Pokud rádi cestujete, pokud se rádi učíte čínštinu zábavnou formou, Keats má pro vás nejlepší čínský jazykový program.
Jsem postgraduální studentka a pracuji na doktorátu na Kolumbijské univerzitě. Mohli jsme se opravdu soustředit na mluvení, zejména na mluvení v rámci pohovorů, a dokázali jsme si opravdu zlepšit znalosti čínštiny ve čtení a psaní, takže až se vrátím na Kolumbijskou univerzitu, můžu navštěvovat formální kurzy čínštiny. Takže během mého prvního týdne v Keats jsem se neodvážil promluvit ani slovo čínsky. Zjistil jsem, že se moje úroveň čínštiny od té doby rychle zlepšila. Přestože mám v Číně mnoho možností studia, například některé jiné školy nabízejí ubytování v rodinách, zjistil jsem, že se pobytem v Keats můžu plně ponořit do učení čínštiny a soustředit se na něj.
